Fabulous Feb!!
Happy Chinese New Year Everyone...This month is truely a fabulous one for me..though not much event...I am contented with what i have..
On Chinese New Year Eve 除夕
There is no lesson on Wednesday because kenneth's lesson was conducted on Tuesday instead...Since there is no lesson, i decided to call my movie buddy miz for a movie since he had a make up class on that day..We decided to watch at Yishun GV since it's somewhere in between our home...I wanted to watch Sweeney Todd for some time so we decided to watch it..It's the 1st time I watch at Yishun GV...not bad..kind of funny for the snack bar to be inside the cinema after u gave ur tickets..Combo of the week was Jay Chou's KungFu Dunk with Free bottle a $7.50 for GV members.. so we decided to get that...Sweeney Todd is a really sad and bloody movie...with a sad ending...It's pretty musical like moulin rouge..but i like the songs too...really catchy..So funny to watch a bloody movie on CNY eves..but seeing red could be a good omen...After the movie, i head back home for CNY eve steamboat...This year is a bit special..a fish head steamboat for a change...Nice to have the whole family sitting down on a round table eating together...such a blessing..
On the 1st day of CNY 初一
Woke up quite late..staying up pretty late to 守岁...My brother was working so this year it's just me and my mum going to relatives house...my dad is as usual lazy to go out...I went to my maternal grandpa house...he is my only grandparent who is still alive..but his health seems to be detoriating.. he can't seems to remember my mum..and his childrens...Hope that he can stay healthy...After that, we went over to my uncle's (二舅) house...every year we will visit his house..and his house will the the site for my other relatives to gather...my 大姨 have 4 daughters..the eldest is married with a son..the 2nd and third have boyfriends and heard that they are marrying this and next year...the 3rd daughter is just 1 year older than me..and she is getting married already..OMG..time really flies...We played poker together as always...and i won a little this year...so much better than last year...
On CNY day 2 初二
What can i say..Stayed at Home..do nothing..kind of guilty not doing any homework...just kept watching dramas, anime, movies on internet....There goes my day...
On CNY day 3 初三 which is today
I went to watch CJ7 with miz again...the movie is quite touching but i think it's not up to Stephen Chow's standard..quite a let down from him...his earlier films were actually much better...but the alien and the boy is really cute...After the movie, i went to work...YEs Work on CNY day 3.. cause one of my colleagues went back to Malaysia to celebrate her CNY..but since i am not doing anything...i just work...My manager Serena is so nice...she gave me a ang bao...Happy CNY to you!!...At night was quite surprise that my JSS friends came to have dinner with me...because i thought the dinner was canceled...but the more surprising and touching part is yet to come...i was thinking that it was just a normal gathering...cause i only had 1 hour dinner break...We ate at Thai Accent..a resturant which i always wanted to go..cause everytime i passed by i will smell the fragrance of tom yam and lime...After we ate finished, yuan zhou pulled out a bag of thing for me...then i realized that it was for my 23th birthday which is just 2 weeks away...They gave me a travel backpack which i always wanted as listed in my wishlist...Thanks for making my wish comes true..I love it very much..Now i can go backpack travelling with it....=D and Thanks for the dinner treat...so looking forward for the potluck on 23rd or 24th...I will fixed some good food on that day...Working tml morning also..but i am so hyped up to sleep....because tml got steamboat dinner at my schoolmate Lilin's house..

__________________________________________________________Finally, i am able to squeeze some time for me to get this post done...been saving as draft for dunno how loooonnng...It's Chinese New Year Eve today however i dun feel the CNY atmosphere this yr..pretty sad..well..i just hope to enjoy the accompany of friends and family for this year and not to forget..LOADS of MOVIE for me to CATCH UP...Since the beginning of school..streams of event have been going on until today...I nearly suffocate myself..
Okay where should i start..1st day of school..OMG..can't believe its the 4th week already..where did i spend all my time to..一头是 unbelivable!!...1st week of school i already got loads of assignment to finish..especially exhibition design which requires us to finish before eve of CNY( which is yesterday) The 1st event was a Post Christmas Party at my workplace in Vivocity on 17thJan...was pretty fun with gift exchange session..I quite like the colleagues at Godiva..all of them are really FUNNY and helpful...that is the reason i continued to help them out during weekends...
On18th Jan,i went for Jay Chou's World Tour 2008..this is my second time watching..but this time i watched alone...It's his birthday also..so lucky to be able to get a seat for the concert...The entire show was High to the TOP..He was like 十八般舞艺..样样精通...From dancing to piano, piano battle, guitar ,drums ,扯铃 ,古筝...I was hoping to get the concert T-shirt BUT SOLD OUT!!! The design was so nice...so sad that i couldn't get hold of one...Overall, i think it's much better than the previous year...
On 20th, i started designing out a new greeting card for 2008 CNY ...as it's the year of rat, i decided using origami to create a different and unique look for CNY card..the response was pretty good...i really get great satisfaction from making greeting cards..especially during hectic times...This years CNY card promotion is offer..DO look out for this years X'mas collection..Thank You for your support in my design..
Then on 26thJan, i had Post Christmas Dinner with my colleagues at Ang Mo Kio's 煮炒..They promised to have a treat if we hit commision for that christmas month and we DID..we hit 120%..The dinner was really sumptous...we ordered..an 1kg chili crab, an 1kg butter crab, crab bee hoon, abalone, cereal prawns, honey roasted chicken wings...and only 5 of us to finish everything..the total cost was around $200..we sure can eat..
On 28th Jan i received a message from an anonymous saying that he chanced upon my blog and he asked me to help them design their office. I decided to accept the offer and take it as an experience..This will be my 1st real job assignment so i went to chat with them the following day..The assignment was pretty rush..i got to came out with floor plan layout and frontage designs within 2 full night..That's a pretty big challenge for me..but i am glad i am able to give it my all..was not my best but i think it's pretty good...Not sure whether they accepted my design anot..it will be icing on the cake if it's been accepted... On 30thJan, we celebrate cc's birthday with a simple dinner at Clementi's Botak Jones..i love dinner with friends..eating with them will be more satisfied...Up till now, I think i hardly got any good rest...everyday was around 4am for me to rush projects, assignment, job assignments, greetings card...but i am glad i completed all at the expanse of my sleep and health...
On 2ndFeb, i went to Orchard Party World to celebrate Xiao Yan's birthday with the rest of JSS gang...Almost all attended..except for weiguang because he don't really K.. The only one in the working force paid for the K..an it's none other than XiaoTian..Thank You Very Much..I am also glad that everyone is doing well in their field of expertise...After the K, we went to NYDC to had dinner... we decided to treat the birthday girl..the chocolate cheesecake was really nice...I just love desserts!! When we settle the bill, my meal was not included inside..which means i got a free meal..So Lucky...=D..
On 4thFeb, i went to watch the preview of KungFu Slamdunk..thanks to Jasmine for the lobang ..was suppose to watch with another person but in the end none was free...=( so i went to watch with Jasmine and her Jay2u friends..The ticket was only $7.50 with Free Movie Poster...a good deal indeed..The movie was really nice..with funny elements in it..just that it's a bit overdone at some part...I think i will watch again..because i was watching at the 1st row angle...
It's Chinese New Year Eve..Just hope that everyone will rest well, eat well and cash in well...=P
