Greatest condolence to Mr Wong Kiow
I recieved a shocking news from guanrui today saying that Mr Wong Kiow from Jurong Secondary School had passed away..I was in the middle of working when i recieved this news. It's kind of a stunning news. I was totally dumbfounded by it. Mr Wong is definitely the unforgettable Maths teacher that i had known.. It's great to have a teacher like him..He is a discipline teacher at JSS and his stern face and thick eyebrows made him the fierce teacher in JSS. He taught Maths for all levels and being able to be taught by him is an honour. He went by the rules of "you always need to Do more Maths in order get good results for Maths". I can still remember being taught by him..we always got loads of tests and assignments to be done. We even had to came back during weekends to take tests and complete assignments..So unfrogettable...It's because of him that many students under him got good results for Maths.. It's kind of sad knowing that he passed away...We just lost a great teacher..His teaching methods pressured most of the students to study hard..He is inspiring in a different way..which works.
After work today, i went to guanrui's house to had dinner before heading over to Mr Wong's wake..It's been quite a while since i went back to Juroong West area... I took bus 335 so that i can past my old house and see the different changes. It's also been a while since i went to guanrui's house..The changes in the neighbourhood is big..Still remember the good old days where we always meet out to play badminton outdoor..After dinner, guanrui drove his dad's car and fetch Kaili from 4-4 and Jiayi and Junwen from 4-2...At the wake, i saw quite a number of familiar faces..like Chem teacher Mrs Tong, Home Econ teacher Mrs Ong aka "the What", Miss Choo.. I also met SuYin from my class 4-5 and Hong Kien from 4-4...It's kind of ironic to meet the rest at such a time and such a place. I hope that i can still keep in contact with the rest of the JSS friends...Keep the alumni going.. It's considered my first wake from a teacher...Now, i kind of feel that death is just a thin line between life. I hope that Mr Wong will find his paradise up there..
